Anna Cox is a native of the town of Paragould, Arkansas. She is a first-year student at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro Arkansas, and she is continuing her higher education studying English. Anna works for the Herald, the college’s student-run newspaper. Although taking the class Principles of Journalism and working for the Harold when asked about her future in the field she says, “I honestly do not wish to write for a publication. At most I would like to become a copy editor but writing for me is the hardest part of journalism. Having no bias at all is extremely hard and for my job, The Herald, I really only write for the opinion column. I have written for news but only in small sections. More than anything else I would just like to gain the knowledge of how journalism works and at the very least gain the skills of a copy editor.” Knowing more types of styles of writing is important to her.
